TAXI FIRE QUICKLY EXTINGUISHED IN MELVILLE – NO INJURIES REPORTED

MELVILLE, JOHANNESBURG – A taxi was engulfed in flames early this morning along Barry Hertzog Avenue, prompting a swift emergency response. The incident occurred at approximately 07:50am when the SCP Security Private Fire Search and Rescue team received reports of the vehicle fire.

Our specialized fire unit arrived on the scene within minutes, finding the taxi well alight. Working efficiently, the SCP crew initiated firefighting operations to prevent the flames from spreading. Rosebank Fire Station also responded, providing additional support to fully extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Barry Hertzog Avenue experienced minor traffic disruptions during the incident, but the road was quickly cleared once the situation was stabilized.
