🚨 GATE MOTOR THEFT SUSPECT APPREHENDED | WATERVAL ESTATE 🚨

At approximately 02:44am, SCP Security received a report of dogs barking along Smuts Avenue in Waterval Estate.

Our Control Room immediately dispatched Reaction Officers to patrol and investigate the area near the reported address. Upon arrival, one of our officers noticed two suspects attempting to steal a gate motor at the property of one of our clients.

The officer immediately pursued the suspects, and a foot chase ensued. One suspect managed to flee the scene, however our officer successfully apprehended the second suspect. Backup officers arrived shortly afterwards and assisted in searching the area for the outstanding suspect.

Suspects Attempted To Steal The Gate Motor!

Tools used by the suspects during the attempted theft was also seized on scene.

Sophiatown SAPS was contacted and responded to arrest the apprehended suspect.

👏 Excellent work by our Reaction Officers and Control Room team. This is now the second morning where suspects attempting to steal gate motors from our clients and community have been caught. Thanks to the swift response by our team, further damage and losses were prevented.
