Suspect Apprehended | Masjid-ur-Rahmah, Greenside

At approximately 09:42, our alert guard at Masjid-ur-Rahmah noticed a suspicious individual attempting to steal shoes belonging to mosque attendees. Recognizing the threat, the guard immediately requested backup from our SCP Security Reaction Team.

A Reaction Officer promptly responded to the scene and coordinated with the guard. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the suspect had been attempting another theft at the mosque, but thanks to the guard’s vigilance, his plans were successfully thwarted before any items were taken.
SAPS was notified and arrived on site to assist in the arrest of the suspect, ensuring that the matter was dealt with swiftly and professionally.

This incident is a clear example of how alertness and quick action can prevent crime. Our SCP Security team continues to uphold the highest standards of protection, keeping the community and places of worship safe.
