At 19h35, our SCP Control Room was alerted by an on-site guard to suspicious activity involving three Toyota Quantum taxis parked near a manhole. Suspects were seen removing and loading copper cables from a manhole into the taxis.

Several SCP Security Units arrived first on scene, prompting suspects to flee. A Toyota Quantum taxi collided with our Reaction Officers' vehicle before escaping. Several suspects also fled on foot, abandoning a vast qty of copper cables, all equipment, and three Toyota Quantum taxis.

🔷 Evidence Recovered:
• Abandoned copper cables
• Bags of tools & equipment
• One unlocked cellphone (with WhatsApp data)

🔷 Response & Status:
• SAPS took control of evidence and are opening a criminal case docket
• SCP Security assisted in recovering additional cables from the manhole
• Three Quantum taxis and stolen cables remain secured on site
• Further investigation underway

👏 Well done to our SCP Security Response Units, our guarding unit who spotted the suspects and SAPS for swift action in disrupting this attempted theft.
