Swift Protective Response at Sparrow FET College During Sophiatown Veld Fire

At approximately 16:45 today, SCP Security responded to an urgent alert of a veld fire advancing near Sparrow FET College in Sophiatown. Visible smoke and flames near the campus perimeter prompted immediate action to safeguard the educational facility.

Our Private Fire Search and Rescue Team arrived on-site within minutes. Prioritizing institutional safety, the crew:

•⁠ ⁠Deployed rapid firebreaks between the blaze and school grounds,

•⁠ ⁠Positioned defensive resources to shield academic infrastructure,

•⁠ ⁠Monitored perimeter hotspots to redirect fire spread.

All safety protocols were activated to protect Sparrow FET College’s buildings, assets, and surrounding community areas. The team’s coordinated efforts mitigated risks to the campus despite challenging dry conditions.
