Coordinated Firefighting Response Contained Informal Settlement Blaze in Newlands, JHB

At approximately 21:00, SCP Private Fire Search and Rescue, in collaboration with CoJEMS (City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services), responded to an urgent alert of a fire outbreak at a small informal settlement at the corner of Brown Rd & Rorich Street in Newlands, Johannesburg. Multiple reports of smoke and flames prompted a rapid joint deployment to the scene.

Both fire trucks were dispatched without delay, and crews arrived to find the small camp engulfed in flames. Immediate containment and extinguishing efforts were launched to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby infrastructure.

Thanks to the quick and coordinated response, the fire was brought under control promptly, with no further damage reported beyond the initial affected structures.
