INSIDE LOOK: GATE MOTOR STOLEN, SUSPECT CAUGHT AFTER BREAK-IN
At around 03:24am, an SCP Security reaction officer responded to an alarm signal on Mendelsohn Rd, Roosevelt Park, where the gate motor had been stolen. Upon arrival, the officer confirmed the theft and noticed a suspicious white Toyota Corolla near the scene.
Our officer spotted one occupant in the vehicle and believed it resembled the car that had dropped off the suspects earlier. Upon further investigation, break-in implements and a jacket belonging to one of the suspects were found inside the vehicle.
With the support of backup units, the situation was swiftly managed, and SAPS Sophiatown arrived. We went with them to the station to open a case.
