🚒 Fallen Tree Incident – Norman Drive, Northcliff 🌳

At approximately 22:15, our Control Room received an alert from community emergency group chats regarding a fallen tree blocking Norman Drive in Northcliff.

Our SCP Private Fire Search & Rescue crew was immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, the team found a large tree obstructing the roadway and began clearing the debris to restore access.

Shortly after, Matthew Simon from Emergency Control SA and Ethan Oppenheimer, Community Medic from ER24 West, arrived to assist. Their swift support greatly helped accelerate the clearing process. We extend our sincere thanks to both responders for their outstanding teamwork and community spirit. 👏

After a coordinated effort, the scene was safely cleared, and the road was reopened to traffic.

💡 What to Do If You Encounter a Fallen Tree on the Road:

🔷 Stay calm and avoid driving over or near the fallen tree.

🔷 Do not attempt to move large branches or debris yourself — live power lines may be hidden.

🔷 Switch on your hazard lights and safely turn around or pull over.

🔷 Notify your local emergency services or your security control room immediately.

🔷 Keep a safe distance until professionals arrive to clear the scene.
