CELLPHONE SNATCHERS ARRESTED!

A swift response by our Reaction Officer led to the apprehension of two armed suspects following a cellphone snatching in Linden on Thursday night.
The incident unfolded just after 9:00 PM on 13 November 2025, when four individuals in a white Toyota Corolla stole a cellphone from a restaurant. Our officer, who happened to be nearby, quickly gave chase as the suspects sped away. The pursuit wound its way through Melville and into Richmond, turning dangerously violent when the suspects fired multiple shots at the pursuing officer. Miraculously, the officer was not hit.
The chase concluded when the suspects' vehicle was brought to a stop. In the aftermath, two of the suspects were detained at the scene, while the other two managed to escape on foot. A search for the remaining suspects is ongoing. The two who were captured sustained injuries and are currently in hospital under police supervision.
