23 August 2025

At 08:09, our SCP Security Control Room was alerted via community group chats to a cat that had been stuck in a tree since yesterday, 22 August 2025, along Inverness Road in Westdene.

Our SCP Private Fire Search & Rescue Crew was immediately dispatched. On arrival, the fire crew handled the situation carefully to avoid scaring the cat or escalating the matter.
Minutes later, our team successfully retrieved the cat and reunited it with its grateful owner.

At SCP, we care about all members of the community, including our furry friends. To keep pets safe, ensure they have ID tags or microchips, create safe spaces at home during emergencies, and keep an eye on them outdoors. If you spot an animal in distress, report it immediately so help can arrive quickly.
š We commend the vigilant community for ensuring the cat was not abandoned and for showing such care towards our animals.
š Thank you to our Fire Search & Rescue Crew and the community for your swift and compassionate action.
