A MIDNIGHT CONFESSION AT THE PETROL STATION

At 23:25 on 8 December 2025, an SCP Security Reaction Officer on patrol at the Astron Energy Petrol Station observed a male matching the description of a suspect from earlier provided CCTV footage. The footage showed the theft of a 48kg LPG gas bottle from the premises.
The officer approached and questioned the individual, who subsequently confessed to the theft along with an accomplice. The South African Police Service (SAPS) were contacted immediately. Upon their arrival, a full statement was provided by the SCP officer.
The suspect was arrested by SAPS on charges of theft and was taken into custody for further investigation. The case is now under the jurisdiction of the Sophiatown SAPS.
